‎A man’s admiration for absolute government is proportionate to the contempt he feels for those around him.

The politically correct are above the rules of ordinary civility, once they have identified you as an unbeliever in their religion.

If you pay people not to work, and tax them when they do, don’t be surprised when you get unemployment.

Any fool can and will live DOWN to the standards of socialism. Our challenge is to inspire people to live UP to the far loftier requirements of liberty. The question every human being needs to ask of himself is this: ‘Am I worthy of living in freedom or am I just another loser with lousy character who can’t keep his hands off other people’s lives and pocketbooks?

Politicians never accuse you of ‘greed’ for wanting other people‘s money, only for wanting to keep your own money.

I teach separation of powers and constitutional law. This is something I know. … [T]he president has no Constitutional authority to take this nation to war against a country … unless we’re attacked, or unless there is proof that we are about to be attacked. If he does, I would move to impeach him. The House obviously has to do that– but I would lead an effort to impeach him.

Much of the left’s hate speech bears greater similarity to a psychological disorder than to standard political discourse. The hatred is blinding, producing logical contradictions that would be impossible to sustain were it not for the central element faith plays in the left’s new religion. The basic tenet of their faith is this: Maybe they were wrong on facts and policies, but they are good and conservatives are evil. You almost want to give it to them. It’s all they have left.
